DVNF Provided $10,000 to Homeless Veterans Center

By Kim Hovsepian

DVNF presented a $10,000 grant to the Raven's Outreach Center for Homeless Veterans in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in fall 2010. The center, which houses up to 60 veterans nightly, will use the grant to further their mission to provide housing, training, and support services for homeless veterans in the community.

Some of the critical services they provide in addition to shelter are transportation to and from VA clinics, healthcare management, job search assistance, therapeutic group sessions, and entitlement benefits application assistance. The center receives no state of federal funding, and relies on grants like the $10,000 grant DVNF provided.
