WASHINGTON, Mar 20, 2012 -- The Disabled Veterans National Foundation helps vets ( www.dvnf.org ), a non-profit veterans service organization that focuses on helping men and women who serve and return home wounded or sick after defending our safety and our freedom, is delivering total supplies valued at approximately $425,687 to Operation Homefront in San Antonio ( www.operationhomefront.net ) this month. Operation Homefront provides emergency financial and other assistance to the families of our service members and Wounded Warriors. A national nonprofit, Operation Homefront leads more than 4,500 volunteers across 23 chapters and has met more than 590,000 needs since its inception in 2002. Needs addressed by Operation Homefront and its chapters include: food assistance, auto repair, vision care, moving assistance, and financial assistance. Operation Homefront also provides morale events for local communities, Wounded Warrior Wives and holidays.
The tmcnet story Operation Homefront shipments will include: children's clothes, dresses, sunglasses, men's and women's coats, sweaters, mens and women's shoes, food, personal care boxes, laundry detergent and cleaning products, file boxes and folding chairs.
"We are proud to be able to send so much to Operation Homefront and we know these basic daily items will go to good use by families of our service members and Wounded Warriors," said Raegan Rivers, Chief Administrative Officer of DVNF. "Operation Homefront has grown to be a major force in helping military families and we are grateful to our donors and supporters to be doing so much this month for this organization."

This guy (Raegan Rivers) and this organization (DVNF) is apparently a complete and total SCAM. Did you watch the CNN report on Anderson Cooper 360 that aired on May 7, 2012? If you didn't, you should. Any "non-profit" organization that brings in upwards of $54 Million and can only give $400,000 worth of "things" (and I wouldn't be surprised to find that these "things" were DONATED TO THEM) should be ashamed of themselves. Look at the list of "things" they "donated": "children's clothes, dresses, sunglasses, men's and women's coats, sweaters, mens and women's shoes, food, personal care boxes, laundry detergent and cleaning products, file boxes and folding chairs" .... WOW! These are items that EVERY wounded veteran needs! GIVE ME A BREAK!
