The China Travel Visa Requirements

By Vicki Diaz

Mainland China has been one of the biggest booming countries today for both business and tourism simply because of their rising economic status in the world. These days, it is actually easier to get in to this country because it has been opening its doors to outsiders for the last few years. However, there are still some China travel visa requirements that one should be able to fulfil before he is allowed to enter the mainland.

Now if a traveler would want to visit this beautiful country, then he must first have a passport. A passport is required for all people in the world if they would want to visit a foreign country legally. Without a passport it is impossible for one to acquire any visas because a passport is the most valid identification that one can have.

Now the next step into getting visas for this country would be to submit an application form in order to get this document. This is extremely important because this is the record that will show that the traveller has attained the said document legally. Also, do not forget to bring along a two by two recent passport photo because it has to be attached to the application form.

Depending where the traveller is from, the Chinese embassy at his country may require him to submit some additional documents to prove that he is a resident of the country that he is in. For example, the embassy may ask for proof of residence or even documents that shows that he is an employee in the country or papers that prove that he is doing business. In any case, it is the responsibility of the traveller to provide all of these.

Now some people have a family in the mainland and works overseas. For people in this type of situation, they must be able to present proof that he has living family members in the country before he would be able to proceed with the process. If he is married to a Chinese from the mainland, he must also be able to produce a copy of his marriage certificate.

Businessmen who want to put up a business in the mainland will have a tougher time because their chances of getting rejected are bigger. Now the first thing he must do is to send a business letter to the embassy and wait for it to get accepted. All details including company name, location, business partners, intentions, proposals and such must all be submitted along with the letter.

If all of these are met with already, then one may just mail it to the Chinese embassy. If one would want to take a faster time, then he may just visit the Chinese embassy directly and submit these documents. After that, the only thing left to do would be to wait for the results.

Take note that it takes quite a while before the results would arrive because of the long processing. However, some countries may take a fast time to process these China travel visa requirements. The time frame of the processing will all depend on where the traveler stays.
