Bahrain Flag Origins And The Flag Company Inc

By Jane Lock

Bahrain, small Arab state situated in a bay on the southwestern coast of the Persian Gulf. It is an archipelago consisting of Bahrain Island and some 30 smaller islands. Its name is from the Arabic term al-Bahrayn, meaning “two seas.”

As the land of the ancient Dilmun civilisation, Bahrain has long been a trading centre linking east and west. The country has benefited from its position at the centre of the Gulf’s trade routes and rich pearl diving industry. By the mid-19th century, the country was the Gulf’s pre-eminent trade hub, emerging as a modern state. Merchants from countries across the Gulf and beyond established themselves on the islands.

The southern shoreline of the Persian Gulf was described by broad fighting and theft for a long time. In 1820, the British were effective in implementing peace on the Arab states. The General Treaty of Peace marked gave those regions with the United Kingdom ought to incorporate a white fringe on the plain red flags they already had flown.

A few nations, including Bahrain, decreased the white outskirt to a tight segment of white. Red was picked in light of the fact that it was the customary shade of the Kharijite sect of Islam, which controlled that part of the Arabian Peninsula; white was a decent differentiating colour.

It is not known exactly when the first red-white flag of Bahrain was established. Recognition was given to the flag in 1933 under the influence of the British adviser Charles Belgrave. The flag had been in use long before that, however. After the British began to withdraw from the Middle East, Bahrain was recognized as an independent state on August 15, 1971, and the country's first flag law became effective August 19, 1972.

For three decades, the isolating line between the banner's white and red was shown either as a straight line or as a serrated line. On February 14, 2002, the present banner outline was received, indicating that the partitioning line must be serrated into five white triangles. Flag Company Inc decided to assist with the history development by providing special decals and banners to make it easy to build a bit of history right at home.

By Alice Bursnell

In case you find yourself facing criminal charges, strive to get yourself an attorney at the earliest available opportunity. A lawyer will among, other things, advice you on the charges that may be preferred against you and the options available. Even for the so called minor offenses, it is important that you have a lawyer to consult until the cases has been had and determined. The first decision to be made is to choose between a private lawyer and a public defender. The latter is assigned to you by the court if you cannot afford private representation. Although private lawyers are quite expensive to hire and retain, they have hire success rates in winning cases compared to their public counterparts. The reasons for this are two fold; more resources and less workload.

In the United States, cases are handled by either a state or a federal attorney based on the law that you have broken (state or federal law). The contravention of federal laws often results in more complex cases hence you will need a very experienced lawyer. They include robberies, family disputes, and traffic offenses among others. State law offenses include copyright infringement, bankruptcy and any constitution cases.

There are a number of ways in which you can find a good lawyer. This may be done by getting in touch with attorney professional organizations that are closest to you. There may be several lawyers working for the firm representing you. What this means is that you may be represented by different lawyers at different times especially if your case lasts for a long period of time. Make it your responsibility to meet each of the lawyers dealing with your case in person. If you feel uncomfortable with any of them, inform the head of the firm so that a different one can be arranged for you.

You need to determine the cost implications. Usually, the cost of hiring a lawyer depends on the complexity of your case. Complex cases that require expert witnesses tend to be prolonged. You will most likely be asked to make regular payments (hire retainer) so that you can be represented every time your case is before the court. The mode of charging will vary depending on the situation. You may be charged at a flat rate or on an hourly basis.

Your role as an accused person is to be as open as possible with your lawyer. Sit down with them before the commencement of the case and give them all the facts. Let them tell you how they intend to argue. If there are any ancillary services that will be needed (such as a private investigation), details of the same should be discussed at this point.

Azerbaijanian Flag History

By Frederic Bowl

The Azerbaijani flag has an ancient history. The Albanian historian, Musa Kalankatli in his work, History of Albania devoted a section to the images of flags. The bodies of these flags were shaped as dragons or birds and were made from silk. Their shafts were made from silver and depicted the heads of mythical animals. Similar flags were widespread in Europe and other Eastern countries in the Middle Age.

Archaeological finds in Azerbaijan confirm that flags to be used as standards were present even in the Bronze Age (4th - 2nd Millennium B.C.). Circular bronze boards and bronze standards in other shapes, decorated with various geometrical figures, such as a horned deer, an eight-pointed star and a radiant sun, were found during archaeological excavations carried out in Shaki and Shamkir; they were probably the symbols of the head of a tribe or ruling authority.

Azerbaijanians had extraordinary banners. The banners were triangular, quadrangular, and pentagonal, sewed from fine eastern fabric and finished with different adornments and engravings. They were bordered with silk string of various hues and additionally with gold and silver string. The flagpoles were tube shaped and were produced using light wood; they were painted, their finish were brightened with enriched metal tops and decorations produced using the string of gold.

On 9, November 1918, the three-colour flag of Azerbaijan was accepted as the State Flag. The Azerbaijani flag consisted of three stripes of equal width. The upper stripe was blue, the middle stripe was red and the lower stripe was green. In the middle of the red stripe on both sides of the flag were depicted a white crescent and eight-pointed stars. The ratio of the flag was 1:2. The blue colour expressed Turkism, the red colour meant modernity and the green colour stood for Islam.

The sickle has been the token of Turks from old times. In Azerbaijani mythology, the moon is a male image and the star is a female one. The moon was additionally the symbol of Caucasian Albania. The clerics of the Moon sanctuary were viewed as the holiest men in Albania after the ruler. There are a few clarifications for the blend of the sickle and the eight-pointed star. By ADR, it was an inference to the correspondence of rights for men and ladies. It was seen as an image of happiness.

There is another explanation, that the eight-pointed star reflects the writing of the word "Azerbaijan" in the old alphabet. According to another version, the eight-pointed star represented the "eight doors of Paradise". So the three-colour flag is waving today as a symbol of independence during the national liberation movement which began in 1988. The Aland Islands Flag

By Gregor Hight

The Aland islands have an ancient history stretching back to around 4200 BC when the first inhabitants arrived. In 900 AD the population was already quite dense and trade was common with foreign countries as far away as Arabia for example. Vikings resided in the islands and the first Christian signs occur during this time. In the 14th century, the islands belong to Finland and Kastelholm Castle is first mentioned in old writings.

For the centuries to come, many wars were fought in the waters around the islands. Danes, Swedes, Russians and Finns all took turns in ruling the islands. By the beginning of the 19th century, the islands had become an international matter, with their important location between several kingdoms. The archipelago is largely made up of coastal rock slopes and heather moorland and has large areas of pine forests. Only about nine per cent of Aland is arable land.

1,500 years later people from the Pit-Comb Ware culture moved into the archipelago from the west, where they had settled along the east and west coasts of Sweden and into Norway. Ã…land was the place where the two cultures met.

Ecclesiastically the islands belonged to the diocese of Abo (Turku) in Finland, and so the province was lost to Russia in 1809. The issue was finally settled by the League of Nations in 1921. The islands were to be a part of Finland, but they were to enjoy autonomy.

The Flag of Aland shows the Swedish flag in the background to which a red cross has been added. The red color on the flag of Aland symbolizes Finland. The flag has been the official flag of Aland since 1954. For the special events the Flag Company Inc invented beautiful decals and flags for the history support.

The Flag Company Inc And Anguilla Flag History

By Alfred Goggins

In the turquoise waters of the Caribbean lies a small island country called Anguilla. It was finally colonized by British settlers in 1650. The name of the island is derived from a number of romance languages for the word 'eel'. This is not because of any wildlife commonly found on the island, but many etymologists and historians assume it is because of the island's elongated, sinuous shape.

Anguilla is a British colony and so the Union Jack has been present on the flag since the island was colonized and ruled by the English. The golden dolphins on white and a stripe of blue are meant to represent the spirit, as well as the wildlife of the island of Anguilla.

The colors of the Anguilla flag include red, navy blue, and white of the British "Union Jack" in the upper left corner. The flag has a navy blue background and the coat of arms of the island colony is in the lower right-hand corner. The coat of arms has the colors gold, white, and aqua blue, with dolphins colored in gold on a white background. There is a stripe of aqua blue at the bottom of the crest to represent the aqua blue waters of the Caribbean.

On the other hand, it got to be evident that a strong blue foundation would build the expense of delivering the crest, so it was changed to a stripe of blue at the base, with a white foundation.

Local Anguillans are known to like their own local banner, rather than the banner highlighting the Union Jack. The local, informal banner essentially shows the dolphin crest in the center point of the banner, with no Union Jack. The official banner of the province highlighting both the Union Jack and the dolphin crest was first put into usage on May 20, 1990.

However, the flag that is recognized by England, the governing force on the island, is simply the British Union Jack, since Anguilla is technically recognized as an overseas British territory. The modern flag is the fifth version the island has adopted since its first one in 1957. The Flag Company Inc specialized in flag designs offered a special edition of decals and flags to memorize for the future.

Angola Flag History And Flag Company Inc

By Michel Bright

Angola, more than three times the size of California, extends for more than 1,000 mi (1,609 km) along the South Atlantic in southwest Africa. The original inhabitants of Angola are thought to have been Khoisan speakers. After 1000, large numbers of Bantu speakers migrated to the region and became the dominant group. Angola derives its name from the Bantu kingdom of Ndongo, whose name for its king is ngola. The first inhabitants of the area that is now Angola are thought to have been members of the hunter-gatherer Khoisan group. Bantu-speaking peoples from West Africa arrived in the region in the 13th century partially displacing the Khoisan and establishing a number of powerful kingdoms.

The red represents blood shed by the Angolan people during oppression, defense of the homeland and the struggle for freedom. Black stands for the African continent. Laborers and industrial production are represented by the cogwheel pay tribute to the peasants. The star is symbolic of international solidarity and progress and the yellow stands for the wealth of Angola.

There are different translations of the hues and images found on the Angolan banner. For a few, the comprehension of the significance of Angola banner is by all accounts in light of the banner that was used by the decision party the Popular Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA). It was the same red and dark with a gold star in the inside. Red means communism, dark for Africa and the star was reminiscent of the Soviet Union's red star.

Many Angolans see the cogwheel and machete as reminiscent of the hammer and sickle on the flag of the Soviet Union and that is a symbol of communism.

There was another banner proposed in 2003. This is a red rectangle with blue and white stripes over the top and base. In the focal point of the red rectangle, there is a brilliant sun which depends on antiquated cavern depictions.

However so far this banner has not been excepted. Numerous think it has no genuine significance when contrasted with the banner now being used which for some individuals join them to their history. Another point is that the banner is an excess of like different banners, for example, Costa Rica and North Korea.

The History Of Acadiana Flag For The Future

By Mark Silberg

Acadians are the descendants of a group of French-speaking settlers who migrated from coastal France in the late sixteenth century to establish a French colony called Acadia in the maritime provinces of Canada and part of what is now the state of Maine. Forced out by the British in the mid-sixteenth century, a few settlers remained in Maine, but most resettled in southern Louisiana and are popularly known as Cajuns.

Since the Acadians were citizens of Spain at the time of the American Revolution, their star could not appear on the first American flag. Thus, the gold star on the Louisiana Acadian Flag serves as a reminder of Louisiana's participation in the American Revolution and the significant contributions of the Louisiana Acadians during the struggle for the beginning of a new nation.

The Acadian flag was established at the second Acadian Convention in 1884 at Miscouche, Prince Edward Island. Father Marcel-Francois Richard designed it and brought it with him to the event. Like the flag of France, it is blue, white, and red. The gold star at the top left is the Stella Maris (Star of the Sea), there to seek the guidance and protection of the Virgin Mary, patron saint of the Acadians. This flag represents Acadians worldwide.

Dr. Thomas Arceneaux, Dean of Agriculture at the University of Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette (1941-1973), outlined a comparable banner in 1965 to respect the 200th commemoration of the entry of Acadians in Louisiana. Like the Acadian banner, it is blue, white and red and has the gold star to speak to the Virgin Mary, benefactor holy person of the Acadians.

The star also symbolizes the active participation of the Acadians in the American Revolution. The gold castle on the red field represents and honours Spain, the country that controlled Louisiana at the time of the Acadian migration there. The silver fleur-de-lis on the blue field represents their French heritage.

After 1974, this banner has formally recognized the Acadians who relocated to Louisiana. For the special events, the Flag Company Inc invented beautiful decals for the history support.

The History Of Albanian Flag For The Future

By Michelle Marsh

The Republic of Albania is the formal name of the country situated in South Eastern Europe. It is in the Balkans area and outlined by Montenegro to the North West part of it, the Republic of Macedonia on the southern part, Kosovo on the east and Greece boundaries it to the southern part. One difference about Albania is the point that it is along with Kosovo the only Islamic greater part sovereign countries that are in Europe completely.

Since early in the fight for Albanian independence, the two-headed eagle was used on various flag designs over the years. Several versions of the flag were created by modifying the eagle's design, sometimes adding white or gold accents. When the region was kept under Italian rule, the eagle was flanked by two Roman-style pillars.

All versions of the Albanian flag since then have featured an eagle, even during the Italian occupation of World War II, and its communist regime after the war. Albania became a republic again in 1992. Albania pronounced freedom on November 28, 1912. Now, the country received a dark red flag with the dark outline of a two-headed eagle, a white six-pointed star over the heads.

The Albanian flag is red with a double-headed eagle, reflecting the region's Byzantine roots and representing the two major parts of the nation, church, and state.

The banner of Albania is dark red, with a black two-headed falcon in the inside. The two heads mean chapel and government, two central points in Albania's history and national character. Andorra Flag History And Flag Company Inc

By Frederic Larson

The first reference to Andorra appears in the writings of the Greek historian Polybius (c. 200-118 B . C . E ), who tells of the military encounter between Andorrans and Carthaginians troops as Hannibal (247-183 B . C . E .) passed through the Pyrenees Mountains en route to Rome. Andorra, historically, was a rural microstate whose population oscillated between four thousand and six thousand inhabitants. In the second half of the twentieth century, as it became a large international commercial center, the nation received larger migratory populations and developed into a multicultural society.

Andorra was part of the Roman Empire in it's heyday (the Roman Empire, not Andorra), although not mentioned in any of the secondary sources which I consulted. When Rome fell, Andorra became a gateway for the northern barbarian tribes to pass from the Roman provinces of Gaul into the provinces of Iberia. Several of the tribes left traces of their passing through, including the Alans, the Visigoths, and the Vandals.

Andorra was built up in the ninth century amid Charlemagne's Empire to keep provocation from the Moors in Spain. In 1278, the French and Spanish finished up peace to appreciate the regulatory rule of Andorra. Both sides had the privilege to designate its own delegates and to acknowledge typical tribute payments.

From that point the Spanish and French fight for Andorra. In 1789, the French Revolution made stopped relations with France. In 1806, Napoleon issued an announcement perceiving the security's right to exist, to restore respective relations. The Security Council has been moderately steady from that point forward. The Flag Company Inc And Algerian Flag History

By Amalia Collins

Since the 5th century B.C., the indigenous tribes of northern Africa (identified by the Romans as "Berbers") have been pushed back from the coast by successive waves of Phoenician, Roman, Vandal, Byzantine, Arab, Turkish, and, finally, French invaders. The greatest cultural impact came from the Arab invasions of the 8th and 11th centuries A.D., which brought Islam and the Arabic language. The effects of the most recent (French) occupation-French language and European-inspired socialism-are still pervasive.

Algeria became a colony of France shortly after French military forces invaded the country in 1830 and, for most of the succeeding 130 years, it was a fully-fledged department of the French Republic. During this period significant numbers of people emigrated from France to live in Algeria's cities; in some cases they actually outnumbered the locals and became the majority.

The Algerian pennant contains two sections; the left is a green and a white on the other right. The center of the pennant indicates red star inside a red crescent. The green means the nature's grandness; the white is peace; the red is the blood of the people who were butchered fighting for freedom; and the star and crescent moon intend to Islam.

The Algerian pennant was accepted on July 3, 1962. The fundamental refinement between the flag today and the flag back on Algeria were the white part of the pennant is clearly more prominent than the green one.

It consisted two equal vertical bands which were green and white. The flag that was used from the 16th to the 19th century was also the inspiration of the current flag of Algeria. The history of the flag is still not clear to people because it was told that the creation of the flag was in 1928 by Messali Hadj. He was a nationalist leader. The white, green and red, with the star and the crescent, have been used by almost all countries with Islam beliefs.

The banner of Algeria can be recognized close by alternate banners on account of the fresh green that it involves. Despite the fact that it has a crescent moon and the red star that implies the religion of Islam, which is broadly used by the nations with the said confidence, the just as proportioned green band on the left half of the banner and the shading white on the right half of the banner are the deciding component for the banner. Flag Company Inc decided to assist with the history development by providing special decals and banners to make it easy to build a bit of university right at home.
