Some FBI Secrets You Should Know

By Lenore Bolton

You will have to do a lot more than be able to keep the FBI Secrets in order to join them. This is because it is sometimes stressful and dangerous to be an agent. You may have to come in close contact with both criminals and victims. This may be quite difficult to bear but if you love public service then you should submit your application to them.

Before making your application, you will need to carefully plan the actions you will take to qualify. The agents are the main investigators of the government and handle assignments that are not handled by any other agencies. The agents are empowered to examine financial records, conduct surveillance, monitor wire taps and undertake undercover operations.

The FBI also investigates white collar crime, organized crime, bank robberies, and terrorism cases among many other forms of law breaking. All these are very dangerous activities and if you do not have the required courage to face them then it may not be for you. You have to ensure that this is what you are meant to do before applying.

Some of the major functions of the agency are to preserve all the civil right of the population, counter terrorism, counter espionage and also to root out many forms of corruption in public. They also do take care of white collar crimes, cyber attacks, criminal organizations as well as dealing with violent offenders. They also do collaborate with other organizations to counter other forms of criminal activity in the country they are in.

You will have to meet certain conditions to be eligible for enrollment. You may need to have a license, meet the age requirement, pass all the tests that you will be subjected to and be a citizen of that country. Excellent health is also required in many cases.

The agencies look for people who have skills in report writing, interrogation, giving testimony and surveillance. When you apply you will be subjected to a cognitive test, polygraph test, background check and even a drug test. You also need to be honest and have sound judgment.

For those whose interest lies in forensic science, than they must have a degree in fields such as mathematics, forensics, chemistry and some other subjects. The person will be required to look at all evidence presented to them and take all the clues into account. They will then have to write reports based on these clues.

Aspiring agents should develop the skills the agency requires, do some community service and seek leadership opportunities. These are all very desirable traits in the individuals. They are not only good for you but they look good in your resume.

As you can see qualifying to be an FBI agent involves a lot more than just having to keep the FBI Secrets. You should focus on all the aspect to ensure that you get the best chances of getting accepted by the agency. If you need any more information you can contact any of their offices and they will give it to you.
